Plumbing services in Orange County
If you smell gas right now, or water from a leak has reached anything electrical, take action before reading further.
For a gas smell, leave the home and call 911 if the smell is strong or anyone feels ill, then call Southern California Gas Company at 1-800-427-2200 from a safe distance. Do not use light switches, garage door openers, or thermostats on the way out.
For water near an outlet, the breaker panel, or a plugged-in appliance, leave the affected area, cut power at the breaker only if you can reach it without crossing standing water, and shut the home's main water off at the curb.
Call us at (714) 964-3519 once the immediate hazard is contained. We are available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Professional Plumbing handles seven categories of plumbing work for homeowners and businesses across Orange County. Each category has its own page with the details. This page is a short tour of what each category covers so you can find the right starting point.
If you are not sure which category fits what you are seeing in the home, call (714) 964-3519. We can usually tell from a short conversation, and the call is welcome whether or not it leads to service.
Repair service
The everyday plumbing work that keeps a home running. Dripping faucets, running toilets, leaking angle stops, failed wax rings, worn cartridges, garbage disposal replacements, hose bibs, pressure regulators, and the host of smaller jobs that fall outside the named pillars below. Most service calls start here.

Drainage service
The work that keeps water and waste moving away from the home. Kitchen and bathroom drain stoppages, main line stoppages with water backing up at the lowest fixture, root intrusion in older sewer lines, and broken or bellied pipes that hold water. We diagnose with a camera in the line and share the camera view before any major work is recommended.
Water heater service
Service, repair, or replacement of the water heater in a home. Wet floors under the tank, showers that go cold halfway through, pilots that will not stay lit, and tanks fifteen or twenty years old that have you weighing repair against replacement. We service tank, tankless, and hybrid units and walk through the tank versus tankless decision honestly.

Slab leak repair
A slab leak is a hole in a copper water line that runs through the concrete foundation of the home. The earliest sign is usually a warm spot on the floor, because the hot water line leaks more often than the cold. Repair options range from a spot repair at the leak point to a reroute through the attic to a full repipe of the home’s water supply.
Natural gas service
Work on the gas lines inside a home, from the meter to the appliances. Leak repair on an existing line, capping off a line for a removed appliance, running new line for a gas range or fire pit or pool heater, and upsizing a line that no longer carries enough capacity. Gas work requires permits in every Orange County city and a pressure test before the line goes back into service.

Plumbing fixture installation
Installation of a new faucet, toilet, sink, tub, shower valve, garbage disposal, water filter, or similar fixture. In a newer home with matching connections the work is straightforward. In an older home it can become a longer job if shutoff valves leak when closed, if supply lines are corroded, or if the new fixture has different connection points than the old one. We plan for those discoveries before opening the box.

Commercial service
Plumbing work performed on a building used for business rather than a single-family home. Restroom stoppages and repairs, commercial-grade water heater service, kitchen line cleaning for restaurants, hose bib and irrigation repairs on the outside of the building, and gas line work for cooking equipment. We work with property managers, restaurant owners, retail building owners, and small office building owners.

Free second opinion on a plumbing quote

If you have gotten a quote for a job of $2,500 or more and would like a second opinion, we do them for free. The customer needs to have a written estimate from the other company. We use the same diagnostic process we use for any quote we write ourselves. Call or ask for details.
Bubba the Plumber
Bubba the Plumber
Bubba is an AI-generated plumber and a complete screw-up. He is incompetent at the work, worse at the customer side of it, and the punchline of every short in the series. The Bubba page is a growing collection of them all.
